About Me

I grew up in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia where I also attended college and met the love of my life. I lived in NYC for five years with my husband and Westie, Mack Brown before recently moving all the way across the country to Los Angeles. I'm an amateur chef, total foodie, lover of Westies, sports fanatic and self-proclaimed book worm. You'll find a little bit of all these things I love on this blog. And...most importantly, I'm a new mom to the most precious baby boy, Austn Robert, born this past October.

Pho-tastic!

Ever since Brad came back from Laos last spring, one of his new favorite foods is pho.  He talks about it to anyone that will listen.  My sister has been wanting to try it, so we took her Pho Bang last night for dinner.  Some of the best Vietnamese food in the city.

Brad got the Tai Gau (Combination rice noodles, beef soup, with fresh eye of round and brisket)

Sarah got the Pho Ga Nuong (rice noodles, beef soup with grilled chicken)

I, unfortunately, did not get pho.  And, boy do I regret it.  I got the Com Tay Cam-Ga (combination rice in clay pot with chicken).  Delicious, but not pho-licious.

Here are  some action shots.

And, here's the damage.

Total success.  Delicious (and cheap!)  We've found our favorite Asian dish.  What's yours?
